Roy Jeans – CEO

Roy has had an industry-acknowledged and very successful career in the media sector, where he has specialised in change management. Amongst his achievements are: transforming Saatchi & Saatchi's Regional Media buying; launching Zenith's outdoor buying company Meridian as founding MD; re-organising Zenith's press buying department as Head of Press when it controlled over 25% of the UK's press buying; and restructuring Amra, the media sales house when MD, prior to its sale to Trinity.

He also grew Initiative from 12th to 5th in the UK in four years while MD; oversaw press and outdoor negotiations as MD of Magna across all UK IPG media agencies; successfully ran the $1 Billion European Unilever media account for Initiative; and latterly transformed ipm, IPG's London-based outdoor buying agency, into the global company Rapport as CEO, with offices in the US and India.

Roy's career has defined the word "change". In addition he has appeared in every single edition of Campaign magazine's annual A-List directory of key UK executives since its publication in 2003, and was appointed a Fellow of the IPA in 2007 for co-authoring the Advanced Certificate online media industry training programme, the first of its kind in the UK. He also captained Zenith to its first ever Media Mind win.

Over the past two years Roy has invested in six rapidly growing TMT-based companies. The respective company websites are listed in the Investment section, but all are at the cutting edge in their sectors.

Prior to his career in media he obtained a BA in English Literature from Sheffield University, and an MA from the University of Southern California in English and American Literature, where he also taught for two years.
